MIxS-SA: a MIxS extension defining the minimum information standard for sequence data from symbiont-associated micro-organisms

چکیده
Abstract The symbiont-associated (SA) environmental package is a new extension to the minimum information about any (x) sequence (MIxS) standards, established by Parasite Microbiome Project (PMP) consortium, in collaboration with Genomics Standard Consortium. SA was built upon host-associated MIxS standard, but reflects nestedness of microbiota within and across host-symbiont-microbe interactions. This designed facilitate collection reporting broad range metadata that apply symbionts such as life history traits, association one or multiple host organisms, nature host-symbiont interactions along mutualism-parasitism continuum. To better reflect inherent all biological systems, we present novel feature allows users co-localize samples, nest another package, identify replicates. Adoption MIxS-SA terms will reports complex sampling design from myriad environments.

MIxS-HCR: a MIxS extension defining a minimal information standard for sequence data from environments pertaining to hydrocarbon resources
Here we introduce a MIxS extension to facilitate the recording and cataloguing of metadata from samples related to hydrocarbon resources. The proposed MIxS-HCR package incorporates the core features of the MIxS standard for marker gene (MIMARKS) and metagenomic (MIMS) sequences along with a hydrocarbon resources customized environmental package. Adoption of the MIxS-HCR standard will enable the...

The Global Biodiversity Information Facility and the Genomic Standards Consortium convened a joint workshop at the University of Oxford, 27-29 February 2012, with a small group of experts from Europe, USA, China and Japan, to continue the alignment of the Darwin Core with the MIxS and related genomics standards. Several reference mappings were produced as well as test expressions of MIxS in RDF...
